As part of a broader national body, the SA Financial Counsellors Association has more than 180 members that assist as many as 40,000 financially-vulnerable South Australians and their families every year by providing information, support and advocacy. The organisation also provides professional development opportunities to financial counsellors in areas such as banking, utilities and debt collection practices around hardship and collections, and advocates to government and industry on behalf of financial counsellors and clients.
