CIC is a non -profit organisation working with private and public subjects to promote organic waste recovery in Italy. CIC runs a high profile compost certification programme as well as a new and growing certification programme for biodegradable plastics. CIC works to ensure legislation is in line with the industrys' requirements and in collaboration with others takes part in work within the EU. CIC is consultant to many public authorities and provides services to its company members, who number about 120 (end 2009).
