Buddy Electric AS develops, manufactures and distributes electric bicycles under the brand name Buddy Bike. We are also known for being the pioneers behind the development and production of the Buddy electric car. We are a certified Eco-Lighthouse company with sustainability and innovation as an important part of our DNA. In collaboration with Eker Design, German ISOCO and V Frames, we are developing electric bicycles that can be produced with WIT (Water Injection Technology) in recycled carbon composite. The production method reduces CO2 emissions by approx. 50% compared to traditional aluminum frames. The Buddy Bike X1 is the first e-bike frame to be mass-produced with this world-leading fully automated technology developed by V Frames. Injection molding with water requires a complex frame design, which is taken care of by Buddy Electric, Eker Design and German Coleo Design. Together we are developing a series of premium electric bikes that will be produced with WIT in Germany. The technology enables the production of frames in just 90 seconds, and is significantly less energy-demanding than traditional production. In addition, the entire frame can be recycled and turned into new products. The X1 frame is the world's first bicycle frame with a return deposit. Both frames and complete e-bikes will be sold globally under various brand names under license. Our HQ and service-centre is located in Oslo, Norway.
