The Wisconsin Veterans Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3), was established in 1999 to assist service members, veterans, and spouses to successfully transition from service to society. The Foundation's three goals include: 1) assisting in need Wisconsin Veterans with acute financial assistance through County Veteran Service Officers (CVSO) and Tribal Service Officers (TSO), 2) offer all National Guard and Reserve members, transitioning service members, Veterans, spouses, and dependents nationwide a computer-based career and employment assessment through a $200 million grant, and 3) defining, developing, and producing virtual learning opportunities under the umbrella of Invisible Injuries (e.g., mental illness and brain injury) for professional care providers, specialists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, care givers and others working with veterans within and outside of the DoD and VA Medical Systems.
