We act as a champion, adviser, advocate and trainer for safety and health professionals working in organisations of all sizes. IOSH West Africa Division represents the interests of the rapidly growing membership number in the region. It enables IOSH to take its place at a regional level within West Africa with a distinct and unified voice. IOSH West Africa Division aims to: • Raise the profile of Occupational Safety and Health in West Africa • Build a culture of Safety within West African Organisations • Share best practice and key information amongst members, key partners and workers across the region to improve safety for all • Support members professional development and progression on their OSH journeys • Bring together OSH professionals by organising events and initiatives of West Africa-wide interest • Provide support and delivery of IOSH strategies in West Africa and identify emerging trends and issues that may have a particular, and sometimes unique, African impact to aid strategy development. • Provide a proactive feed into West Africa's health and safety community The growing IOSH West Africa Division committee is currently made up of members from 4 regions; North Central (Abuja, Nigeria), South West (Lagos, Nigeria), South South (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) and Ghana (Accra,Ghana)
