Sindh food Authority came into force under Sindh Food Authority ACT, 2016 having been passed by provincial Assembly of Sindh on March 08th, 2017 and assented to by the Governor of Sindh on April 08th , 2017 and published as an Act of the Legislature of Sindh. Pursuant to section 3 (1) of Sindh Food Authority Act 2016, the Government of Sindh has notified the establishment of Sindh Food Authority under the Chairmanship of Minister of food on May 3rd, 2018
