The organization intends to reduce the problem of illegally dumped waste in our country and stir awareness around waste management through educational campaigns and regular clean-up activities. LDII is an initiative by Prof Pankaj Choudhary, an Assistant Professor of International Environment Law at the campus law center, University of Delhi. Founded in the year 2016, LDII has expanded its network to 24 Indian states and an astounding volunteer base of over 1 lakh. Our current projects include Bin that Butt ( collection & recycle of cigarette butts), Blue Initiatives ( conservation, restoration of marine life, coastal lines through scientific approaches).
