Clear Skies is environmental NGO which was established in last year Ostrava, Czech Republic. Our mission is to motivate and empower people in the Ostrava region to participate more in solving the problem of air pollution, because the region is one of most polluted in Europe in terms of particulate matter (tiny pieces of dust). Air pollution causes health problems, such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, irregular heartbeat, cancers and nonfatal heart attacks. Long term exposure to particulate matter may reduce life expectancy by years.
