The Company’s largest vineyards are located in southeastern Arizona on the Willcox Bench area near Kansas Settlement at an elevation of 4,359 feet. At approximately 5,000 feet in elevation, Flying Leap also operates a smaller 6.5-acre estate vineyard at its tasting room and winery in Elgin, AZ, about 1-hr south of Tucson. Flying Leap produces red, white, rosé and fortified wines of varying degrees of sweetness, acidity, tannin and oak character from an array of carefully-grown grape varieties well suited for southern Arizona’s dry, arid climate and soil chemistry. These include traditional Rhône-style blended wines from red grape varietals such as Grenache/Garnacha, Petit Verdot, Mourvèdre, Tannat, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano. White grapes in FLVI’s portfolio include Viognier, Marsanne, Malvasia-Bianca, Verdelho, Albarino and Piquepoul Blanc.
