Despite advances in education, women formed only 28.5% (compared to 82% for men) of the labour force in 2017. For a variety of reasons, even well-qualified, highly skilled women cannot take up a conventional job. The flexi-work scenario, in India especially, is very precarious. There is no recognition and there are hardly any genuine work-from-home options that give you income and work satisfaction. Hence IWSC aims to encourage women to start up independently. Nothing gives you more satisfaction than seeing a dream and making it come true. IWSC features extraordinary startup stories of ordinary women who have taken their steps towards fulfilling their entrepreneurial dream. We call them our IWSC Ambassadors. These stories are narrated with a purpose. They aim to motivate millions of women out there to stir their brainy liquid and churn out a beautiful idea that can change their lives. The stories aim to provide that one push, that one nudge, that one click which would transform the thinking of women who feel that they can't do it. IWSC aims to be a platform for sourcing ideas, thoughts, suggestions, opinions and encouragement.
