The New Zealand Bar Association represents lawyers/advocates who practise at the Independent Bar, i.e. usually as specialist litigators or advocates, or experts in dispute resolution. We aim to promote and encourage a strong and independent bar with a high standard of legal representation and advocacy. We provide support, mentoring and encouragement for our members. The Association has a strong training and professional development programme that is available to all litigators, whether members or not.
