Directly representing over 150 licensed nursing homes in Maryland, HFAM collectively serves its members through communication and cooperation with more than 30 state, county and local governmental agencies. Our members consist of comprehensive nursing, assisted living, sub-acute, and transitional care units, all fully licensed in Maryland. Every type of ownership is represented - from individual and multi-facility to nonprofit, church and government. HFAM is an information and education source to its members, vendors and consultants to the long-term care industry, the public, the media, and the government. Through its publications, services and seminars, HFAM performs a vital function in keeping its members informed about laws and regulations affecting the long-term health care community. The Mission of HFAM is to lead, promote and represent providers and affiliate organizations so that they may deliver quality long-term care services with integrity and economic viability in a dignified and secure environment.
