A Place for Mediation was established in 1985. It arose from a growing demand from 1985 on, in our parent agency Alternative Counselling Services. At inception, sensitive culturally family mediation was the primary focus. These services were expanded to include estate mediation and employment again by request. The advent of the Mandatory Mediation program saw the delivery of civil matters and in an attempt to encompass the needs we have evolved into a full service practice providing specialized mediation and arbitration in the field of family, civil, employment, construction, condominium, estate and personal injury and elder amongst other areas. We currently service the Toronto-Ottawa-Windsor Corridor and sourrounding areas. Our Mediators are knowledgeable, neutral, third-party professionals who have the experience, outlook, and training to listen and to help.Most of our staff are certified with the Arbitration and Mediation Institute, the Ontario Association of Family Mediators, and Family Mediation Canada. Our Company was founded by Bruce L. Ally - Ph.D.,L.L.M. (ADR), WFA., DRE (York U). From its inception to 2010 Bruce had mediated in excess of 3000 matters. In addition to a very active practice he also instructs part of the Employment Elective at York University in the Advanced Mediation Program as well as supervising interns at The Small Claims Court in Toronto
