The Central Bank Research Association (CEBRA) is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to encourage applied and theoretical research on topics relevant to central banks, financial regulators, international financial institutions and fiscal authorities, as well as to connect the research staff of these institutions with academia. CEBRA operates in Switzerland as an association (“Verein”). It has been granted the status of Tax Exempt Association by the Canton of Basel City. CEBRA’s activities include the organization of an annual meeting at a leading university, the organization of several research programs on topics of high policy interest, the organization of academic sessions at the annual meetings of other associations in economics and finance, and the hosting of an information service collecting professional announcements that are of specific interest to the members of CEBRA. CEBRA is funded by sponsorship and membership contributions. Institutional membership is open to central banks, financial regulators, international financial institutions and other government organizations. CEBRA does not accept financial contributions from for-profit organizations. The 2022 Annual Meeting of the Central Bank Research Association is currently planned to take place in person on 29-31 August 2022, at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Ciutadella Campus, Barcelona, Spain. The meeting is co-organized with the Bank of Spain, the Barcelona School of Economics, the Department of Economics and Business of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and Leibniz Institute for Financial Research “Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe”.
