Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association
www.bohemianbenevolent.orgThe Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association (BBLA) was established in 1891 by Czech and Slovak immigrants with the common goal of maintaining their customs and culture. The Bohemian National Hall was built four years later to accommodate this effort, as a venue where Czechs and Slovaks could feel closer to home. Originally established as an umbrella organization for over 80 cultural and community organizations. The BBLA continues to foster and strengthen our common heritage through annual events, sponsorships and programs that bring both countries and cultures together under one roof.
