Zelena Lutrija is a non-for-profit project that helps people from South-East Europe (Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian, Montenegrin, Serbian, and Slovene language-speaking regions), who are new in the United States, during their process of assimilation into American society. Our mission is to provide information and help with all issues related to the immigration procedures: from applying for an immigrant status to the process of Naturalization. We give special attention to the easiest and widest form of immigration - through Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery program. We offer help and counseling on various issues new immigrants face, such as how to apply for immigration, what to do before leaving a home country, what to do after landing, how to make a successful start and how to become a naturalized US citizen. By organizing seminars, workshops, conferences and support groups, we hope to give our members a chance to meet and interact with fellow immigrants and expand their social network while preserving their culture.
