Our mission is to provide an attractive and stimulating environment for students and staff and to conduct cutting-edge research in a broad spectrum of mathematics. We offer our students a bachelor's and several master's programs as well as the elite TopMath program, and support young mathematicians on their way to a doctorate with our unique PreDoc program and the International School of Applied Mathematics graduate center. Researchers have many opportunities to work in a broad spectrum of mathematics. A special asset are our strong connections to "external users" of mathematics. We are one of the leading centers in Europe at the interface of mathematics with physics, chemistry, engineering, life sciences and economics.
