The Coalition to Protect Americas National Parks
www.protectnps.orgThe Coalition to Protect America's National Parks is a vocal advocate for the protection of America's most precious natural and cultural resources. We study, educate, speak, and act for the preservation and protection of our national parks and National Park Service programs. Founded in 2003, the Coalition is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization with a membership of over 2,200 current, former, and retired National Park Service employees. We are uniquely qualified as an advocacy group because of our hands-on experience. We have the most direct understanding of the inner workings of park and agency management, as well as the ramifications law and policy have on park protection, operations, visitors, and communities. We pride ourselves as the "Voices of Experience" for all park-related matters. If you are a current, former, or retired National Park Service employee and you are committed to protecting America's national parks and protected lands, you are eligible to become a member and have your voice heard in advocating for our nation's parks. Membership benefits include regular communications about important issues and access to opportunities for taking meaningful action. There are also opportunities for people who have never worked for the National Park Service and for organizations to become involved in our mission as supporters and partners.
