EqualHealth is a global community of health professionals, educators, and activists dedicated to the fight for health equity which transcends borders. We prepare health professionals to recognize the structural and social determinants of health and to engage in thoughtful, coordinated activism that addresses the root causes of poor health. Our work focuses in Haiti and Uganda with chapters organizing in response to inequity around the world. Collectively, we are building a global movement of social medicine educators and practitioners who tackle health inequity in their institutions and in broader society. OUR STRATEGIES Organizing people to practice social medicine and to bring them together to learn and share experiences and collectivize their actions for structural change. Transforming health education so social medicine is the norm for health professionals. Leadership development that prepares people to lead and be change agents, with a focus on Haiti and Uganda.
