Tshirt Terrorist was established in 2004. Our aim is to bomb the public with controversial, stylised T-shirts that challenge the status quo, hence the name, and our strap-line: Tshirts To Die For! In 2007 we opened our doors online and have since become one of the leading satirical T-shirt labels in the country. Tshirt Terrorist delivers export quality, pure cotton locally manufactured T-shirts. The quality of our Tshirt, and the strength of our design process, concerned as we are in creating a fashionable clothing item, has ensured that our customer base (known as: terrorists) has grown considerably over the past 8 years. We are now a fashion force to be reckoned with. We take no prisoners. Our humour is intelligent and our designs are elegant. Our message is simple. Think for yourself. Start the conversation. Lead the debate. We target issues that many people are uncomfortable with, politically and socially incorrect topics that we feel by their very nature, and the effect they have on society, need to be drawn into the open and analysed. T-shirts as personal billboards. Tshirts as broadcast channels. To this end, our terrorists are harbingers of social change, cultural prophets and thought leaders, but irrespective of our over-riding agenda, we’re not averse to having fun either. Interspersed between our weapons of mass dissemination are some really cool designs that spoof and mimic popular culture. Johnny Terrorist can never be accused of being all work and no play. Currently based in Randburg, where we opened our first showroom and outlet, we are planning big things. Our targets are organised religions, multinational corporations, corrupt governments and megalomanic oligarchies. We won’t rest, and the designs will continue to flow, until ignorance everywhere is disrupted and replaced with the open-minded thinking our rigid modern structures often subvert and prevent.
