Toronto Rehab is a member of the UHN family and is Canada's largest academic health sciences centre dedicated to adult rehabilitation and complex continuing care. As an international leader in this field, we have taken bold steps to dramatically improve outcomes for patients and their families. At Toronto Rehab, we embrace the potential of our patients and work with them to maximize their results. The courage of our patients inspires us each and every day. In addition to providing unparalleled patient care, Toronto Rehab is home to The KITE Research Institute, a world leader in rehabilitation science and research. KITE is developing innovative technologies, advanced treatments, and practical solutions to support the real-life challenges faced by people living with disability, illness and aging. Researchers are actively engaged in developing new treatments, devices, and products as well as gathering evidence that guides changes to policy and public opinion. Our research also aims to prevent injuries altogether by developing more effective industrial design to make streets, homes and workplaces safer. With six sites across the city, Toronto Rehab and KITE facilitate personalized care for serious injury and illness including: stroke, heart disease, brain and spinal cord injuries. Our commitment is to ensure our patients regain the skills, abilities and confidence to live life to the fullest.
