The NoMad Restaurant and Giannini Bar reside on the ground floor of the landmark Giannini Place building, built in the 1920’s as the headquarters of The Bank of Italy at the height of the city’s golden age. The bar is named for the founder of the Bank of Italy who commissioned the building which embodies a convergence of old-world grandeur and the vibrant and playful spirit of Los Angeles. A showstopper is the ornate and lovingly restored Italianate ceiling which provides a soaring backdrop for dining, drinking and socializing. The elegance of the room is balanced with a contemporary California freshness and comfort, creating an oasis in the center of Downtown Los Angeles. NoMad Los Angeles is overseen by Managing Director Phil Pavel, who brings over 20 years of experience perfecting the alchemy at the Chateau Marmont to Downtown LA.
