BoardCompanions.org is the network of independent not-for-profit directors. Companions are experienced executives who are active as independent directors in the boards of not-for-profit associations. We share our business experience towards the boards of not-for-profit associations and we share the purposefulness of the not-for-profit towards the world of business boards. As Companions we are committed to further develop our board skills through our collective action in BoardCompanions.org. Our members have followed a formal training program, we provide coaching programs and peer-to-peer learning and networking events Companionship has a mix of characteristics which make this contribution unique: - Companions are personally committed to their association. They are a member, sit on the board and share the “affectio societatis” of the organisation. - Companions work both in the business and the not-for-profit world, and look for cross-fertilization of good governance. - Companions seek high standards of governance and continuously improve their skills.
