An initiative focused on teaching and helping students discover and develop their potential for future leadership. Research has shown that there is poor attention to leadership in our Nigerian public secondary schools, as there are no deliberate subjects nor topics in the school curriculum for this. Prefectship has been more of a thing of pride than of purpose and responsibility in our schools and it is all about being adorned with badges, bragging about titles and having names written in the school history book, as opposed to using the roles to make an impact during their tenures and even after, creating a great reputation for the school in the university and eventually, in the corporate world. We are passionate about secondary school students in general, however, at this time, we have chosen to concentrate on the prefects who have the responsibility, with the help of the teachers and school management, to run the school. This initiative is focused on helping these prefects become aware of their potential and build them for future leadership.
