Galleria Milano is a renewed contemporary art gallery, founded in 1964 and based in Milan. Over the decades, the Galleria Milano has dedicated over 350 exhibitions to the protagonists of Italian and international art. It was among the first to present English pop art in Italy, the art of the American west coast, some of the lesser known aspects of body art, numerous authors of the German avant-garde, as well as a strong focus on experimental cinema. Italian conceptual art, some aspects of abstractionism and verbal-visual research have been investigated for a long time, and more recently some protagonists of the neo-conceptual have been presented. Most of the exhibitions were accompanied by dedicated catalogs introduced by first-rate critics such as Lea Vergine, Gillo Dorfles, Patrick Waldberg, Pierre Restany, Guido Ballo. Galleria Milano has a marked research attitude and continues its activity in this direction, also valorizing its rich archive.
