TIFORP itself was incorporated in 1982, by F.W. “Freddie” Schinz, as his first official jump into development. Prior to that, he had been a Certified General Contractor (CGC) since 1971. Over the 40+ years of continuous operation, TIFORP and its subsidiary corporations have developed, sold and occasionally building nearly 60 projects. When Freddie’s son, ZW “Zac” Schinz was born, Freddie knew he wanted to expose him to the job sites he was in charge of everyday. Zac remembers all kinds of things that he says “most 5 year olds would have given anything to do” such as operating dozers, cranes, riding up the man lift on the hook of a construction crane to the top of a building, walking top plates, etc. Zac says that this unique experience gave him a great understanding of what his father does and the nature of the business. He has been with TIFORP full time since 2002. Our main goal is to provide our customers - and the municipality as a whole - with top-quality residences or commercial buildings that exceed every expectation and leaves the buyer with not only what they originally purchased but with a product exceeding even our own initial parameters. We focus on all kinds of large multi-family dwellings; from extremely high end (e.g. >$500/psf) hi rise condominiums to high quality, but affordable, student housing and everything in between.
