AlburtyLab conducts aerosol engineering R&D, test, and evaluation services. Specialized facilities include a fully instrumented aerosol wind tunnel and associated test chamber capable of windspeeds over 70 mph. Testing is conducted using inert simulants and surrogate particles for government and industrial customers. Past testing and evaluation has included biosamplers, including samplers for use on unmanned aerial vehicles, aerosol samplers intended for force protection and critical infrastructure, and primary research regarding the nature of environmental aerosols and bioaerosols.
