Our Story Laramie Investment Company, Inc. was founded in 1943 by E.G. “Ed” Jackson. Ed was a graduate of Denver University, and moved his young family to Laramie to form his own business. Laramie Investment Company originally was founded to serve the real estate, lending, and insurance needs of the state of Wyoming. Ed’s son, Gregg, joined the firm in 1962 after graduating from the University of Wyoming with his degree in Business Administration. As the real estate and lending market changed, so did Laramie Investment Company, focusing the business only within the insurance market, since 1982. In 2004, Gregg’s son Brad also joined the firm, who was then joined by his daughter, Taylie in 2016, creating what is Wyoming’s only 4th generation family-owned insurance agency. For more than 75 years, we having been providing insurance to the state of Wyoming, and surrounding areas. Our insurance agents are licensed to write in Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. As an independent insurance agency, we find the best combination of price, coverage, and service by representing some of the highest rated insurance companies on the market today. We are able to process quote requests on our website, over the phone, or in person. A representative of our insurance company is always available Monday through Friday from 8:30-5:00.
