With the Fintech Germany Award, the financial centre Frankfurt – today represented by the FTGA organisers Frankfurt Main Finance, TechFluence and the WM Gruppe/Börsen-Zeitung – honours outstanding FinTech companies in various categories. The jury evaluates and compares the start-ups in their individual company phases independently of the respective FinTech or InsurTech sub-sector according to a variety of different criteria. On the basis of a scoring procedure, the committee determines a list of the leading young companies in the individual categories, including the special prizes, and determines the winners at a jury meeting. In addition to the award, the winners will also receive a “challenge cup” in the form of gold-plated water pump pliers, donated by Günter Rothenberger, founder of Günter Rothenberger Industries GmbH and inventor of the “R-System”.
