Bronkhorst Instruments (formerly named M+W Instruments until April 2022) specializes in the production, sales and service of mass flow meters and controllers for gases with focus on the so-called CTA measurement principle. This Constant-Temperature-Anemometry is a thermal flow measurement directly in the gas stream. Bronkhorst Instruments has been among the first companies bringing this technology for low flow rates onto the market in the mid ‘90s, which has been further developed when Bronkhorst High-Tech took over the M+W business in 1997. In 2011 Bronkhorst Instruments has become a Bronkhorst Business Unit and closely cooperates with more than 40 sales partners world-wide. The market introduction of the MASS-STREAM™ model series D-6200 (direct CTA through-flow measurement) and D-5100 (by-pass measurement) started in 1997. By the end of 2009 the new digital version followed with the MASS-STREAM™ D-6300 model series, which have now replaced the former model series. The D-6300 model series continuously expands due to additional product variants, accompanied by further improvements of the CTA measurement performance. All MASS-STREAM™ model series are characterized by a high degree of standardization, offering sufficient flexibility for tailor-made concepts at the same time. The MASS-STREAM™ instruments cover a wide range of measurement and control applications in almost every industry sector – like mechanical engineering and process industry, gas production, food and beverage industry as well as the chemical industry and environmental engineering.
