Recognizing that service dogs serve a vital role in the rehabilitation of injured soldiers, especially those with PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injury, Team Foster works to ensure there is No Hero Left Behind. Our funds go to ensure service dogs can be obtained, trained and provided to a veteran in need at no cost. The teamwork doesn't end there. Once partnered with their dog, Team Foster makes sure veterans don't have to choose between their dog and critical costs. One service dog can cost upwards of $25,000 and take up to two years to properly train. There are no VA, federal government or insurance program that will cover the cost of a service dog for a veteran suffering from PTSD. Team Foster fills that need.
