ANVIA products will become collectors items of the future. The original company was founded in 1933 by German immigrants as Algemeene Nederlandsche Verlichtingsindustrie Almelo. In the 50, 60 and 70's of the last century the company became one of the larger lighting companies in the Netherlands. In those days ANVIA closely cooperated with one of the most famous Dutch mid century designers, JJM Hoogervorst. A.o. famous buildings like Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, ANWB headquarters in the Hague, the ships Statendam and Rotterdam were decorated with ANVIA lighting.
