The Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation, Inc. (ATL96 Foundation), an Atlanta based international non-profit organization co-chaired by Ambassador Andrew YOUNG and Dr. Marc Daniel GUTEKUNST was founded in 1994 to implement in Rwanda a Post War Rehabilitation & Development Program (PWRDP) (public health and environmental program) designed by ASE in partnership with the Rwanda Ministry of Health and the ORTPN (Rwanda Office of Tourism and National Parks). When in 2001 the Atlanta 1996 Centennial Foundation established in partnership with the DeKalb County Government the ATLANTA 1996, ASE started to also provide consulting services in sports development. Within the three focus areas, here are ASE's specialties: ● Global Health: Tropical Medicine, HIV/AIDS, Epidemiology, Health Information Systems, Malaria, MCH, Child Survival, Monitoring & Evaluation, Emergency & Disaster Care ● Environmental Issues: Wildlife Conservation of Endangered Species ● Sports Development: Sports Medicine & Testing, International & National Competitions, Training for the Olympics
