The Hogeye was founded in 1977. It has gone through many changes and editions with the current event hosting a marathon, and half marathon- which are both the longest continuously-running in Arkansas. The event has been around the first weekend of April, however is moving to the end of April, 2021. It takes place in beautiful Northwest Arkansas, starting and finishing in downtown Springdale on Emma Ave. Proceeds benefit NWA charities.
