Leading the ICT ®evolution in Service of Humanity The Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering, ICST, is an international society incorporated as a non-profit organization that is headquartered in Gent, Belgium. ICST's charter is ICT in its broadest sense, supporting research, innovation and technology transfer in information technologies, their management, and their applications in the service of the Institute members and the global society. By providing effective and innovative platforms for the generation, dissemination and sharing of research, technology, and business information among the respective communities, ICST links ideas with opportunities, industry with policy makers, and provides a gateway for joint exploitation and promotion of research and business communities in Europe and the rest of the World. ICST fulfills a paramount prerequisite for the improvement of quality of life and society by promoting ICT as the ubiquitous engine for growth and development, addressing not only core ICT issues, but placing an equal emphasis on the application of ICT in all sciences, professions, and services that can benefit from the deployment of ICT disciplines. ICST pledges to support endeavors that are of benefit to its members, and through their success, to the Society. ICST is the first prosumer society based on the contributions of its members, rewarding them, as partners, for the value and impact of their contribution to the community at large.
