We are Joana and Sofia, two Portuguese sisters. JO&SO was born in 2016 when we launched joandso.com, featuring our pick of places to stay and go in Portugal. In 2018 Condé Nast Traveller described it as “the latest, most insider online guide to Portugal’s coolest hotels”. We are here to help create new memories for like-minded travellers - those on the hunt for beautiful design, thoughtful service and good energy. We do this by making and sharing useful, gorgeous content to inspire others on where to go and stay in Portugal. Our website now has more than 65,000 page views per month, and 22,000 unique monthly visitors from all over the world, particularly Portugal, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and France. In 2019 we founded Studio JO&SO (studio.joandso.com), as a means to expand our services to like-minded brands. We are content makers and storytellers. We do photoshoots, including styling and location scouting. We also offer hotel consultation services such as our own mystery shopping service. In July 2021 our first book “The 500 Hidden Secrets of Porto” was published worldwide by Luster.
