The Chrysalis Boutique is a way to tell my story and help others tell their own personal journey in what they wear. I have always believed that some hurt, heartaches, and hard places we go thru in life are necessary for our growth. I have been homeless as a child, molested by a family member, a single mother for 17 years, worked multiple jobs at one time, juggled paychecks and battling with weight loss most of my life. Throughout all of this I knew my life was meant to me more. I was meant to impact people’s lives for the better. As a cosmetologist for over 22 years, I have not only made people feel better about their appearance but about themselves. Being a cosmetologist is like a being a therapist, the image on the outside should reflect the beauty on the inside. people change how the feel within when they look their best. There must be self-care therapy before retail therapy. The Chrysalis Boutique is another way for me to continue to make people appreciate their beauty inside and out by showcasing it to the world. I started the boutique for the plus size, curvy, full figured woman for now because that what I know. Eventually I plan to expand in to other sizes. My passion is encouraging people to emerge from their own Chrysalis as the best version of themselves in every area of their lives.
