Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light's (KIPL) mission is to care for creation by mobilizing a religious response to global warming through conservation, efficiency and alternative energy. KIPL Provides Programs, Workshops, Presentations and Films that offer Inspiration and Information about Protecting our Sacred Earth. Topics Include: Climate Change, Energy Conservation and Efficiency, Faith and Environment, Creation Care, and Making Connections with Others on the Eco-Faith Journey We also offer Services, Resources and Educational Tools (including Website, DVDs, Books and Study Guides) around: Comprehensive Energy Audits, Efficiency Improvements, Renewable Energy Options, Establishing Creation Care Communities, Worship Services and Study Groups and Energy Saving Lighting, Monitoring Devices and Related Products Making the connections between faith and justice, KIPL works hard to support public policy that contributes to our overall goal of protecting creation through energy reduction, energy efficiency and the transition to clean renewable alternatives. We send action alerts to our members so they can make the voices heard on key issues at pivotal moments. Our programs include: Preach-In on Global Warming, Cool Harvest, KIPPIE AWARDS, Greening West Louisville, Cool Congregations. Kentucky Interfaith Power & Light was incorporated in the State of Kentucky on September 5, 2007. We are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
