Within six months we realised that we needed to focus. And the one thing we knew best was story. It was the thing that drove us, that got us excited, and its uses were infinite. Stories and storytelling are the way we see and understand the world, they are the very thing that makes us human. They are at the heart of making people grow. Because we use stories in a number of ways, we needed to define what we offered our clients. We refocused our offer as three discreet brands: - Grow the People continues to run workshops and facilitate events. - The Story Coach consults and coaches on the use of story to bring business communications to life. - Iambic Creative provides our clients with story-led writing services, strategic communications and compelling content. We’ve always loved stories. Writing them, reading them, watching them brought to life through our work in theatre and with brands. For a large part of our careers story had not really been something we had consciously thought about in the workplace. Story was the fun thing, the thing we did outside of the office through our writing and performance. Of course stories were in fact always integral to the work we did in the office too – communications, learning, leadership, presenting, connecting, collaborating, our brand values… All of these areas and more employed stories and storytelling.
