Worid Express (CMB) Ltd was started in Sri Lanka as an International Freight Forwarding Company 40 years ago 1981 as a Sri Lanka Thailand joint venture, World Express was one of the first companies to start Air cargo charters in Sri Lanka in the early 1980.1990's World Express expanded its services to seafreight, clearing of import cargo, bulk cargo, and high value cargo such as gold etc and forwarding and transportation, of project cargo, personal effects, diplomatic cargo, ransshipment and NVOCC operations. Today World Express is one of the biggest container transport fleet operators. The Sri Lanka customs recognised the integrity a commitment of World Express and awarded the first Gold Card status as a Custom House Agent. World Express has a staff of 96 of employees and who are well trained and well equipped with inter mobile communication with the office and the field staff. Our transport fleet is equipped with VHF Communication and senior Wharf Executives are given VHF Walky Talky for speedier clearance and transportation of cargo.
