Bagigi developed a process to devulcanize various kind of rubber, like: - NR/SBR (typically used in tires) - EPDM (typically used for automotive/building seals) - NBR (typically used for oil resistant seals, technical articles and work shoes) the devulcanized rubber is used as raw material for rubber compound production, saving costs and resources and in this way helping the environment. The Bagigi process has been assessed with the LCA methodology, as an outcome, 1 Kg of Bagigi rubber uses 1/10 of the resources used to produce 1 Kg of virgin rubber.
