www.gchragd.orgThe Geneva Centre is a think-tank dedicated to the promotion of human rights through cross-cultural, political, religious and civilizational dialogue between the Global North and the Global South, and through training of the upcoming generations of stakeholders in the Arab region. The Centre works towards a value-driven human rights system, steering clear of politicisation and building bridges between different narratives thereon of the Global North and of the Global South. Its aim is to act as a platform for dialogue between a variety of stakeholders involved in the promotion and protection of human rights. The Centre advocates for giving human rights due recognition in governance throughout the world. It promotes mutual understanding and cooperative relations between people. The Geneva Centre is an independent, non-governmental organization that does not rely on public funding. That ensures its complete independence. On 21-22 May 2017, the NGO Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) unanimously recommended to ECOSOC to grant the Geneva Centre special consultative status. During its Coordination and Management Meeting held on 25 - 26 July 2017, ECOSOC adopted a resolution granting the Geneva Centre special consultative status. http://www.gchragd.org/
