ER&R of Stratford offers a recycling center and warehouse, providing a place for residents of Connecticut to bring old computer monitors, TVs, and more for proper disposal. The importance of keeping electronic devices out of landfills cannot be understated; these devices contain numerous toxins that can leak from landfills and poison our air, water supply, soil, and wildlife. Community members may drop off devices to: ER&R 97 West Avenue Stratford, CT Tuesday- Sunday, 8:00am-4:00pm All working and non-working computers, monitors, televisions, stereos, CD and DVD players, speakers, fax machines, copiers, phones, printers, and more – are accepted (exception: smashed or leaking devices are not accepted). Alternatively, pickup throughout southwestern Connecticut is available for a nominal handling and storage fee. No cost. Receipts and tax deductions are available, contact ER&R for details. ER&R recycles virtually all components in these devices. In some cases, devices are refurbished then sold from the recycling center at a fraction of their original cost. Individuals dropping off devices need not worry about personal information that may be left on hard drives – all such parts are completely destroyed by ER&R’s staff of volunteers.
