In our home country of Malaysia, the industry in which we operate in is small. This means we know the who's, what's and where's very well. We’re told by ad agencies and clients that we do things a little differently from the other production companies here in Malaysia: - We take a storyboard and we produce a shoot board from it, not with it. This is because our goal is pretty simple: produce work that is emotive. - We add the emotions that are missing from the storyboard and we amplify the ones that are already in there. - We believe that in order to engage the audience, we have to entertain and emote. - We spend a lot of time casting the right talent. - We invest big into our pre and post production work. - We do our homework. Since Mojo Films kicked off in 2005, we’ve been successfully making emotional films and engaging audiences in Malaysia and within the region. Sometimes, we even win awards for them. Which is sweet. Sitting at the head of Mojo Films is founder and director Barney Chua with over 500 commercials under his belt (that's a mighty long belt), 27 international & local awards plus 15 years of shooting commercials in the South East Asian region. Most importantly, Barney revels in the opportunity to train young blood as they spur on new ideas which in turn helps the industry to constantly evolve.
