Sophisti is a connected product design studio. In our work we connect physical objects and digital media by combining skills from industrial and interaction design, software and electronics development. We design and develop from idea to prototype to product. Sophisti works for big clients like Philips, LEGO, Heineken and NXP, but also for startups like Minibrew, Ikawa and Styleshoots. For these clients we have designed and developed app enhanced products like a coffee roaster, a beer-brewing machine and a fashion photography studio. We develop our own ideas as well which have been featured in numerous media-outlets For example Gamechanger an interactive game board bringing millennial families around the table or Ping (winner of Core77 Award) bridging distances between loved ones with a bed lamp. A recent example is Ding (also Core77 Award( a set of blocks to enhance interactivity and electronics in creative sessions. Sophisti was founded in 2007 and is based in downtown Amsterdam where we currently work with a team of 6 designers and developers.
