ENSEMBLE3 sp. z o. o.
www.ensemble3.euENSEMBLE3 is created within Teaming for Excellence H2020 and International Research Agenda by Foundation for Polish Science programmes. Our vision is to build the materials basis for future photonics. Located in Warsaw, Poland ENSEMBLE3 builds on a long tradition of world-leading expertise in crystal growth and materials science following the pioneering work of Prof. Jan Czochralski. It has been created jointly by the following renowned institutions from Poland, Germany, Italy, and Spain: the Łukasiewicz - Institute of Electronic Materials Technology, and the University of Warsaw, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the Sapienza University of Rome and the Nanoscience Research Center nanoGUNE. ENSEMBLE3 gathers the expertise, know-how and facilities in the field of crystal growth, and advanced materials for photonics/optoelectronics including plasmonics and metamaterials. We work on the development of novel crystal-growth based material technologies and advanced materials with unique electromagnetic properties which can find application in various fields such as photonics, optoelectronics, telecommunication, solar energy conversion, medicine, aerospace and others. This includes utilizing eutectic self-organization mechanism for crystal growth; developing novel methods for manufacturing bulk nanoplasmonic active and passive materials with embedded various nanoparticles. The centre also has a years of expertise in the growth of oxide single crystals and AIIIBV compound semiconductors and their applications. And these fields will be developed as well, leading to direct applications and commercialization. We look for disruptive new ideas also which will lead our materials to a new level. ENSEMBLE3 is a place fostering innovation in terms of providing infrastructure and know-how for both young and advanced researchers with pioneering ideas.
