At Street Arts International, we hit the streets to leverage local opportunities to create sustainable arts programs with and for at risk youth. We are a registered not-for-profit organization in Canada. How do we access youth? We find like-minded non-profits who support youth and who desire an arts program and we partner with them to help make their dream a reality. Our first project was launched in 2018 in northern Haiti with former street youth. Did you know that arts based programming can support youth in overcoming lived experiences of trauma, develop skills and generate income, and build confidence, self-identity, and resilience? Street Arts International partners with local art communities and invests in the local economy by utilizing asset based community development practices to leverage opportunities that already exist at the project location. Think local first is our approach, meaning we buy locally and hire locally.
