IAL was incorporated on 15th September 1984 with a vision to conceptualise and set up India's first amusement park. As a result on 19th November 1984 “Appu Ghar” was born. A new chapter was written in Indian Entertainment Industry when “Appu Ghar” first opened its doors to a yearning public. Spread over 18 acers, it housed 20 rides and a water park, attracting over 1.4 million visitors annually. Riding on the response and success of Appu Ghar, IAL initiated two state-of-art entertainment projects in joint venture. The projects comprising of a mixture of amusement parks and commercial areas are now successfully operational for a few years. IAL with its impressive portfolio is the first entertainment company to attract private equity from international institutions. Today, Appu Ghar is synonymous with amusement parks in the North India and that has only been possible because of its incredible insight into the Indian local sentiment and adherence to high international standards.
