With the help of environmental visionary David Brower, Glen Canyon Institute (GCI) was founded in 1996 to restore Glen Canyon and a free-flowing Colorado River. GCI is a nonprofit organization working to educate the public and decision makers, advocate science-based public policy, and organize positive citizen activism. GCI has more than 1,500 members and activists from across the United States and beyond, and has generated nationwide discussion about this important issue.
