The World Tourism Network was founded in 2008 as a group on LinkedIn that brings together sales and marketing professionals in the Travel and Tourism industry from around the world. The membership consists primarily of senior management in the travel sectors including airlines, hospitality, tour operators, cruise lines, travel agencies, media agencies, tourism offices, event management, destination management companies, PR, online travel agencies and travel technology companies. In 2009 World Tourism Network became a Limited Liability Company offering its worldwide membership technology services to help them utilize today’s latest technology and marketing strategies, this includes: - Social Media & SEO marketing, management and strategies - Digital Page Turning Technology to create e-editions - Online Access to Top US Meeting Planners - Tour Packaging Software for hotels, travel agents, consortiums and tour operators - Web Site Analysis and Mobile Technology The company has media and technology partnerships with leading travel companies around the world, including ASTA, Eye for Travel, Rezopia and UK leading travel trade newspaper travelGBI. The membership exceeds 23,000 in July 2012 and continues to grow adding 800-1000 new members per month. World Tourism Network also own several travel web sites including TheBritishTraveler.com and SeeandDoLondon.com.
